The Handfasting.

by Norman John Henry Campbell   Nov 26, 2009

Fires burning and women chanting,
A circle gathered just like tonight.
Your priestess called you name,
As your bards sang your praises.

It twas upon that moonlit night,
I gazed upon your face,
glowing brightly like the moon.

Your bright red locks fell
around you as if the heavenly
Stars themselves fell too
Surround your face.

It twas that auspicious sabbath night,
I noticed you in the wild woods
I was hunting and you were teaching.
Never before had a goddess love
Shone so bright.

It twas then i knew i had
Fell in love. For we have
Met, remembered and loved
again.

Tis this night i ask of my love
For us to be bound by our own
true love in handfasting this
Beautiful beltane night.
by our own
True love
