Declarations

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 26, 2009

Two lips intertwined in madness
Pursue trappings of the heart
True to love, as death to life
Into the stars their souls depart

Knowing only how they feel
Blowing in love's wind
Sewing seeds eternally
Growing though they've sinned

They dance in front of wanton eyes
Sway like they're alone
Pray this moment never ends
Betray the lives they'd known

Sharing, but one beating heart
Declaring love is born
Swearing none, but death
Uncaring, can take what they have sworn

Form: Lento (double)

A Lento consists of two quatrains with a fixed rhyme scheme of abcb, defe as the second and forth lines of each stanza must rhyme. All the first words of each verse should rhyme as well.
