Thanksgiving

Life is a circle of ups and downs
Happiness and pain, smiles and frowns
Too often are we too transparent to see
More often than not do we have everything we need
Yet still our shortcomings come to mind
And all that we don't have is all that we can find
Truly thankful for the things which we receive
Is an idea we are no longer able to conceive.
