Riley

by Timothy   Nov 27, 2009

Please don't go,
You have brought such warmth to this place;
We watched you from a young age,
We saw you grow with grace.

Once, not long ago, we thought we lost you,
But God saw it that you came home;
A few months later, a new affliction,
An infiltration that leaves you to cry and moan.

We love you, dear pet, our little Riley,
You are more than an animal, you're a family member;
I beg that you regain your weight and be well,
Because my son cries nightly, "we must be together!"
