Pull The Trigger

by Ashley   Nov 28, 2009

Shoot the gun, baby.
Shoot us both.
Take our lives.
You already broke me,
I'm already dead.
Take my life;
make sure you go with me though.
This love has torn us apart,
but in the end,
we will be together,
forever.
Lost souls wondering the universe...
pull the trigger and take us both.
It can't hurt much worse than this.
All these things we have done to each other,
cheating,
yelling,
screaming.
It all got us here.
To suicide.
Assist me,
wont you?
You hold the gun,
your trembling finger on the trigger,
close your eyes tight and pull...
just a little pressure and I'm gone.
"I love you,
but we have to go now."
The words echo in this room.
Its large,
it swallows us whole.
"I know, Baby. It's ok.
I'll see you when you get there."
My trembling body falls to the ground,
cold and dead.
You closed your eyes,
your finger stopped trembling,
you pulled the trigger,
now I wait on you.
You said you loved me,
but I'm still waiting.
What about our plans?
You stare at my lifeless body for a few seconds,
contemplating your next move.
A single tear drops from your eye.
"This is for us, Baby."
You pull the trigger once more,
your body lays next to me,
were finally together,
in peace and harmony.
We fly around,
knowing we will spend eternity together.
"Thank you."
I whisper and smile.
"Anything for you, Gorgeous."
You reply with a smile.
And I know that forever is everything I'd hoped it would be.
