White lies

I didn't ignore your calls,
I wasn't near my phone.
No one was at my house,
I spent the night alone.

I didn't see you waiting there,
For me by the door.
I wasn't even down that way,
I was on the second floor.

I didn't kiss that other girl,
I don't know who they saw.
I wouldn't cheat babe, thats not me.
I know it's your forbidden law.

I didn't really lie at all.
Only white lies are what I do.
Perhaps my biggest and most hidden,
Is saying I love you.
