Companion, Compassion.

by Emily   Dec 1, 2009

Through the cotton I see,
that you're colorful.
Through the silk threads,
You are beautiful.
I'll hold your hand,
and you'll hold mine.
I've hidden secrets
That are yours to find.
Laying on moss covers
Whispering our intimacy
Of comfort unfamiliar
Since prior to our infancy.
Between us is so much love,
And a trust that is undiluted.
I was meant to know you,
And that is undisputed.
Please, my children.
I will protect you!
Every time you're in danger,
I'll come to your rescue.
For ever time you found
that people have wronged you
I will be there to take care
Of apologies over-due.
So please open your cupboards,
Your drawers and your closets
Show me under your bed,
Your hiding spots and boxes.
There is no reason to hide,
And nothing I will not vanquish.
Show me all that you have,
And you will not look foolish.
I want to hear you,
I want to fix you,
I want to build you,
I want to love you.
For who you are,
who you were,
and who you are ever going to be.

Not from God's point of view, or a mother's, or a lovers. From one person to another, I feel that this type of compassion is what we all should strive to achieve. If you can sit down to a person a realize the amount of facets they have in their lives, then you know a person.
