His promise

by rene   Dec 1, 2009

There is a weight on my shoulders
A heavy burden no one person should undertake.
I walk this land trying to spread peace and joy
Showing people the good in the earth and heavens
Yet all the while I watch and see your evil deeds
All around me I stand witness to the horrible plight of the world
The Sex, stealing, lying, killing,
Sins of the flesh are thrust upon my shoulders.
Yet I cure them all
I help everyone who comes before me
I tend all wounds with a gentle hand
And if you only ask
I forgive all your wrongs
I take all your evil away
So you can smile and be free
So you can enjoy this world created for you
I will carry all your pain and suffering
I will catch all your tears of sorrow
I will protect you from the demons that try to hurt you
This is my promise
I will die for you, if you only live for me

Although this wasn't lengthy and went into a great amount of feeling, this poem proved to say so much and get a prophetic message out. The hope delivered was so strong and brought relief and joy to those who are weak. The last line really caught me and left me pondering, left me wanting to make my life worth living, wanting to live my life according to His will. Thank you for writing and sharing this piece with the world, it was a beautiful display of God's work through all of us.

God bless you and Merry Christmas!
