Their Final Good Bye

by TJ Arizona Eagle   Dec 1, 2009

I watched her walk through
dew pearled roses, wind softly
ruffling her dress, purple shadows
dance among the sycamore trees as
hunger like a starving wolf grips
my loins, to hold her just once more,
God help me

His warm breath on my neck,
sweet scent of need , my flesh would
awake at the touch of his hand.
How I miss his electric kisses that
sparked longing, closing my eyes
reliving the moment of ecstasy
God help me

Her laugh rings like chimes in my ears,
the look of love as she cocked her head
to the side, playful smile teased her lips,
a knowing wink sparkled blue eyes,
never again will I immerse myself
in her embrace, for this is the
final good bye

With tears un-cried I reach my destination,
falling to my knees a scream pleads for
release, instead a whimper escapes my lips.
Laying a single white rose tied with a
bow of red ribbon I place it on his grave
Kissing the head stone whispering a
final Good bye
