Darling

by Sidney C   Dec 3, 2009

Darling,
you're a living oxymoron,
a walking contradiction,
someone i could count on,
i swore i'd found perfection,
for a moment you fell,
all was in it's place,
i fell for you as well,
your eyes, your smile, your embrace,
soon your love faded,
a concept i couldn't grasp,
all my thoughts complicated,
you promised we would last,
you left me empty,
and it became harder to breath,
you said you loved me,
and now you leave?
you swore you had fallen,
i weakened my protection,
and when my heart finally opened,
you felt no connection?
what sense did it make,
to lie and make me feel?
my heart begins to break,
what i felt was real,
i could fall to my knees,
and beg you not to go,
oh darling please,
and let every emotion show,
Darling,
you aren't worth it,
you're the last thing i need,
someone who falls for a moment,
and then has to leave,
you're a living oxymoron,
a walking contradiction,
your venom's like heroin,
so far from perfection.
