Mommy hold me I feel real sick
Just watched the news with you, it makes me feel bad inside
They say she was my age almost six
How come someone hurt her and threw her body on the hillside
They say her mom was a wittiness, the person who did it was a man
They say he stopped for a second and pulled her in
They say he looked in his thirties and drove a white sedan
To his family I applaud
Their the one's who turned him over
They say he might get the death penalty, than he'll answer to God
Mommy please don't cry, why are you so scared
They just showed her picture, she looks just like me
She's my color, my height, like me she's dark haired
Mommy why do people hurt children
What is that your reading, she has my name too
Mommy is it me? The girl that's gone, the one that was beaten
I remember that day
You were looking at me through the window
While I went outside to play
I stand here watching you cry at my tombstone
I look around, God please make these sick people stop
In leaving all these parents alone
This is Dedicated to all the Parents who have suffered and who continue to suffer
