Sunset

by Matt   Jun 16, 2004

Summer sun now sets.
Washes the sky in piercing colour,
Bathes the world with endless blood.

Rolling clouds blow by.
Making shapes of people; of faces.
Faces which are seen no more.

Paler light shines now.
Red in the sky; street lamps spray yellow.
Yellow like the lifeless corpse.

Darkness fast descends.
Black now, where piercing blueness once reigned.
The colour of the world has gone.
