Synthetic Deaths

by Beautiful Chaos   Dec 11, 2009

Wide awake
Yet fast asleep
Guarding secrets
None can keep

Mangled truths
Seductive lies
Walls to hold back
Prying eyes

Feathers float
From fallen doves
The snow
Of winter's lonely loves

Painted red
Then fade to black
Fire burns
What's taken back

Silenced tongues
Deafened ears
All sight is gone
When darkness nears

Pictures melt
Memories fade
We drown in waves
That feelings made

I love contradictions :-) and I liked your poem a lot. It had something that we all experience at least once.
Liked the rhyme a lot Jenn.

The rhythm is excellent in this piece Jenn. Flowed so smoothly!

So much expressed with such little words, and the flow was perfectly free of unnecessary filler words.

Wonderfully penned, great read Jenn !!!!!
