A Lonely Scream

by ADEL   Dec 12, 2009

I have a scream to yell, but my grief cripples my tongue. I have sorrow to sing, yet my throat is hewed in the forest of love. My neighbors, my cursed neighbors whom I love and hate, I have a scream to yell and a sorrow to sing though you fill your ears with deaf tunes and direct your attention to things trivial and vain.

My neighbors, my cursed neighbors I am neither your neighbor nor a knocker upon the doors of your lives, I am but a beggar of your attentions and an asker of your pity.

My cursed neighbors who hear me not, my cursed neighbors who see me not, of myself I am no more and no more I am of my meaning.
My meaning was a humming bird in the nest of love
Upon the tall tree of dreams
But the thorns of hatred made loss of me
And hewed my tree

So much sadness in this. A lonely scream, how many times do we all feel this way?
