Beginning of the End

Beginning of the End

All stood still
for that one brief moment
when your lips met mine.
And two became one
in a vow of forever.

Decades passed as time drizzled
through the hourglass.
Life became a highway of
adventures, skid marks,
crashes and eventually death.

And then ...
All stood still

R.T.V.W Club exercise ...
This is a Circular poem.
A short poem that begins and ends with the same line.
The reader should feel differently about the line the second time around because of what has happened in the poem.

I just realized you wrote a bit on the bottom explaining about the club challenge and I see now. You were very unique in writing this and it did make me feel different the second time around, less hopeful, feeled with the sense of death. Good job!

    Take care.
