Midnight Visions

by NightFlyer   Dec 13, 2009

Spectral images,
Imbued in the depths of night's silence
Calling from sleep like a crystal vision
Like the sea and the night merging in azure reaches of deep meditation
These visions,
Encapsulated in the vivid dreams of thoughts unplayed out
And fighting for manifestation
Finding expression here and there through the cracks of mind's eternity
The spirit of unfettered emotions,
Gliding across moonlit lakes in this place of midnight dreams
And fading in the piercing sunrise of daylight's tyranny.

Thanks for your kind comments. My friend Cherimari recently had an interesting experience. She awoke one night to see an apparition or vision of a living relative in her room. She told me about this and it inspired me to write this piece.

I really loved the usage of vocabulary in this write, it just added more to the meaning of your poem. Nothing much I can say, this was very well done.

Randy, glad to see you posting again. Visions in the midnight hour, sometimes scary, sometimes good. It is a quiet time of night to be alone with your thoughts, good or bad. Well done.
