You, the Birds and I

by Ahmed Ali   Dec 14, 2009

My mind breaks open,
As you walk past my lonesome eyes.
But I'm still not quick enough,
To express my feelings that sit inside.

We've exchanged a thousand smiles,
Swinging to awkwardness when comes the words.
Which pose as a dilemma, when I long to be,
Much closer to you, much like the birds.
