Fair?

by BrokenAngel FallenFiend   Dec 16, 2009

Innocence is fleeting,
Leaves with one touch.
You can't hold on to it forever,
That would be asking too much.
One day a child,
The next your not.
You become like all the rest,
A mindless robot.
Walk down the hallways,
Mutter hellos.
The looks you get from everyone,
You take as silent blows.
You didn't used to be like this,
You didn't use to care.
Not untill you got the secret,
That never will you share.
He took away your innocense,
That man who made you smile.
He took what didn't belong to him,
Acting like he cared the whole while.
But he never did, never will,
And now he needs to pay.
When you show up on his front door,
I wonder what he'll say.
Will he even remember you?
Now that you have grown old?
Or will you always need to be,
The child that he stole?
It's over now, this horrid dream,
Now that he is on the floor.
It's worth going away to know,
He'll hurt another child no more.
