I have been blessed
In a very special way,
And I feel different, unlike the rest,
Because God has given me another day.
I'd like to thank you in a special way,
For all that you've done for me,
Because those are the simple things that make my day,
And the reason why I'm always so happy.
When I wake up to start my day,
I thank you and stare up into the sky.
And because you've given me one more day,
I wipe my tears and begin to say,
Thank you for this day,
Thanks for letting me stay.
Thank you for your love.
Sent all the way from up above.
When I go to sleep at night,
I always ask myself why?
I hold my pillow real tight,
And tell myself it's too early to say goodbye.
The pain I have doesn't bother me,
And I live my life like everythings okay.
Because if it did I wouldn't be happy.
And I wouldn't be able to face each day.
When I can't sleep I begin to pray,
That you'll forgive me in any kind of way.
Because I don't want to be taken away,
So please give me just one more day.
