Grant, this is so sad. When one we love dies, anger at them or at least for me is a natural reaction. How dare they die and leave us? This is so powerful. Well done.

Grant another of your poems of excellence that treats a very heart wrenching subject with subtlety and finesse. You ping my heart as we get older more of those we know and love go and leave us and the most dad thing about it is we can't find their equal. 5/5 Ray S

    Grant,

I have read this poem several times now and I feel it cannot be based on reality...if it is then you have to let me know.

It is written really well and certainly this stanza:

So I'll prepare for nights of solitude
I'll still pledge my love, through this awful mood
Though I'm angry with you right now
On my knees I'll make this vow

    ^^
This really shows how torn a relationship can make us feel between love, hate, anger and well..all emotions imaginable.

    Good work, my friend.

God bless and the best wishes for you and your family for 2010.

    5/5 Ingrid

Such a sad, sad poem my friend,
I think your only hope is to find a marrage counselor who specializes in motorcycle repair & has enough money for all the right parts ...Vroom, Vroom :-)

This is a poem that's written with absolute yet subtle sadness !
A heartbreaking theme, yet with a great flow, a deep imagination, and a very thoughtful wording!

Expressions used, left chills all over my senses, and the emotions poured in this piece, are way beyond what my words can express..

If this is a real poem as my Ingrid..said..then I wonder how precious is the lesson that you got to learn..unless we both see it from 2 different points..

Some just some lines sounded a bit forced and that takes from the quality of clarity..but it wasn't that much obvious..so well written!!!

WOW!!!!!! Grant, i haven't been on here in so long and everytime i come on and read something of yours your writing just becomes more and more powerful. this was the most beautiful tragedy. (not the situation) but your words, you just have so much talent and your ability to express the pain in such an amazing way really inspires me!! you truly are a role model for me to look up to and i really want to thank you for the kindness you have shown me over the years. you truly are so gifted and although you have gone through absolut hell you remain such a beautiful soul. its not our circumstances that make us who we are but our spirits and you have a truly beautiful soul!! i really dont know what else to say other than well done Grant!! and SERIOUSLY!!!!!! they need a scale higher than 5 because 5 really does not do your poetry justice... but since there isn't anything higher than 5 it'll have to be that but just know its worth far more!!

Grant, at first I felt this was a poem about a broken down relationship with the the middle stanza's then that ending it me hard, it gave me Goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes knowing how it had safely ended.
I could eve comprehend that emotion.

    All the best, Em
