Timeless Love

by Niveus Nox   Dec 18, 2009

What wondrous ways to show His power,
sure signs of His grace and glory.
Each piece with its own story,
grows steadily under golden shower.

Towers of green rise with haste,
covering the ground with fluttering shadow,
like butterflies drifting and breathing shallow.
Each fallen needle together...laced.

Wondrous giants ever quiet and watchful
ascend past cloud more through the ages,
Like a child staring at a books thousand pages,
at the road to awe ahead, intent, thoughtful.

Sitting and waiting to feel God's hands again
Joyously standing through thunderous rain.

i think you might have misplaced the "a" if you moved it after books it would read

"Like a child staring at books a thousand pages"

idk, it just seems a bit off.

BUT you had a lot of good imagery. i especially liked how you described God's presence like thunderous rain. stroke of genius that.

    keep writing
