Keep Me Aglow

When you search within my eyes
I can almost read your mind
and I feel my worries rise
as our hearts begin to bind

you inspire me to be
someone that's like you,
who helps people to see
that they thrive when they pursue.

I hope some day you'll see
that you're what makes me glow.
You're what sets me free.
You pick me up when I'm feel'n low.

Sometimes I almost feel
like I'm in some sort of dream.
This feeling can't be real.
When I look at you I beam.

And when we're apart
I wonder what you're thinking
cause I know that my heart
slowly starts sinking.

But you're what makes it rise
when all else fades away
you open up my eyes
and say:

"I love you always"
as you tilt up my head
and distract my sorrowed gaze
and tuck me into bed

You'll never know
just how you saved my life
for though I didnt show
my heart had lost its strife.

But now I have this hope
that no matter where I go
I can always cope
with your light to keep me aglow.
