White Christmas

by xLeftxBehindx   Dec 19, 2009

Up in the cabin for a weekend with you
Of course the parents have to come along too
But alone all day to do our own thing
So only you and me together in this white snowy world

Walking along the snow covered trees
Seeing the inscribed SH + LM = <3 on the tree from last year
As we sit at that very same tree on the bench we made
Lit the automatic fire to keep us warm while we relax

You hold me as we lean up against the tree on the bench
We watch the fire in our beanie caps and jackets
The sun is almost beyond the mountains
The tiny snowflakes begin to fall once more

The snow whirls slowly in the chilled air
You turn me around to face you
I sit on the bench like on a saddle and you the same
I stare in to your eyes and you gaze in to mine too

You reach toward me and I go towards you
We meet at the lips and the light goes away
No need for sight when touch is more proficient
Never wanting to let loose or stop but the sun is almost gone

Snowflakes fall more vigorously now
We go inside, hand-in-hand, boy and girl
Tree and presents await us in the warm cabin
Looks like it will be another white Christmas this year
