I Won't Be A Clown

by Soulful Ensemble   Dec 22, 2009

Like the beautiful sun
After thirty days of rain
In the middle of summer
I look forward to you.

Don't let me down.

Like a sudden gust of wind
In the dryest desert
I awake from despair
To see you laying there.

Don't make me frown.

I think of you not faintly
Not like vague, subtle dreams.
I know what you're about
And I look forward to you.

But lets not drown.

Love within us will grow
Like flowers bloom.
Even in the shadows
I can feel you loom.

I wont be a clown.
