My Home

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Dec 22, 2009

You are my home,
The shelter that protects me from the storm.
Like a dry desert satisfied by heavy rains,
Is what i feel when you heal my pain.

You are the rainbow after a wet, cloudy sky,
I cannot forget you no matter how i try.
Finally, i realized my love for you is true,
Because all the roads somehow lead back to you.

I pray you understand me, dear master of my heart,
I cried a river when we spent our time apart.
But now, the truth finally hit me in the face,
The void created by your absence could not be replaced.

Yes you are my home,
My shelter from the storm.
Like a dry desert satisfied by heavy rains,
Is what i feel when you heal my pain.

*Home is where the heart is, and my heart is completely, wholeheartedly, and unconditionally yours.

Sometimes we don't realize just how much we really love someone until we are no longer together. Realizing this and getting back to your love is a good thing. Well done.
