A Christmas thought

It's almost Christmas day,
santa will soon be on his way.
The kids can't wait to see,
what he'll leave under the tree.
But let us not forget,
it's not all about what you get.
For this year some won't have a lot,
for money's been tight so not much they've got.
They have just about got through,
and so a little will have to do.
There are people who've lost loved ones this year,
or have loved ones that can't be near.
There are some who have not anyone,
who'll be alone with no one to share the fun.
So when your enjoying your Christmas day,
spare a thought for those less fortunate is what I'm trying to say.
