I waited and waited

I waited and waited but you never came...
it seems as though ages have gone by,
it seems as though years have flown by.
i had been there quite sometime now,
waiting to see your beauty and go wow!
every sound would make stir in motion,
hopefully that should be you was my notion.
with every minute my morale kept on breaking,
still there are chances i kept on faking.
i waited and waited but you never came...

my eyes opened and the vision cleared,
had happened just what i had feared.
another day had closed its eyes to night,
even the tired God switched off his light.
i don't know how long had it been,
yet, miles around you were not to be seen!
this patience test has been ever since going on,
as i wait from every dusk to every dawn.
unlike hope my faith is what i cannot tame,
