Awake in his arms

I can't believe a fantasy, my dream, turned into reality
There he was, in my bed, lying right next to me
Pinch me, splash cold water on my face, this can't be
Its real, he's there and keeping me company

Passion and good laughs filled up the whole night
In the dark, the clock portraying a glowing blue light
He kissed me; I kissed him; that describes the word delight
He held me; I held him; both squeezing oh so tight

Worn out, exhausted, he was gasping for air
Sheets tangled, fan spinning, I was pulling my hair
He laid there so welcoming like a big cuddly bear
Oh God, he's wonderful, I couldn't help but stare

So beautiful his eyes, oh his smile's filled with charm
Laying there with him I felt so safe, he'd never allow harm
I kept staring, didn't look away, I didn't want to set an alarm
There I lay, for hours, awake in his arms
