The lonely boy sits on his own. Struggles with sadness and stares at his phone. Thinking becomes effortless when he's here alone. A young girl comes by. Takes a seat and shyly says hi. They talk for a bit and she offers him a little advice. "Heartbreak isn't easy," she tells him. "But it only takes over when you let it win, "So, try to cheer up and refuse to give in." The boy cracks smile and shakes his head. 'She just doesn't understand,' he thinks. "You didn't hear what she said." "She told me she didn't love me. And that it was never meant to be. Us being together was something she could no longer see." The girl lets out a laugh and then quickly apologizes. She takes a short breath, And then tells the boy what she realizes. "If she says she doesn't love you, Then, she has simply lost her mind. Because, boy, you are the sweetest one of your kind." He smiles at the words. But he doesn't comprehend their worth. If only she had been there first. She thinks, 'I never would have broken his heart. Things with us would never have fallen apart. I would have cared for him from the start.' Silence is soon embraced. But she stays a little longer, Just in case. As the girl leaves, she quietly fights back the tears. Because she knows she'll never say, What she really wanted to that day.
