Farewell (Musette)

Death nears
another soul
with fears.

Tears shed,
no regrets as
years fled.

Here's to
peace as we bid
adieu.

The first lines have two syllables; the second lines have four syllables, and the third lines have two syllables.     A very sad piece that have such realistic depth.Whether it's to a death or losing a friendship, goodbye always seem to be hard for us to say.

    So many fear death..while they should not!

    This poem looks very simple, until you really start to read what you are saying...I think it is absolutely wonderful what you say in the second and third stanza, no regrets for the years spent together and to allow the other to leave in peace....a splendid, peaceful poem, Silvia.

    This was very good. just a few words can explode with meaning. This poem did just that. Very sad write...but happens everyday unfortunately. :[ Wonderfully done.
