Behind These Dreaming Eyes

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 10, 2010

I imagine you and I walking on lover's beach
my fragile hand fitting flawlessly into your grasp
as we happily stare out past pumpkin seas
and see our future together unfold with ease
across never ending hope sung horizons.

The first moment our curious eyes met
a friendship unheard of blossomed
intimacy became falling stars of love
that anyone who gazed upon would belove
and jump carelessly towards its flaming tails.

This dead winter evening I lie anxiously awake
thinking fondly of how you'd hold me tonight
and make twilight hours see divine morning light.

It seemed to me at times there was a overload of adjectives before certain nouns but aside from that nice job, pumpkin seas never heard of that and just the overall mood and feeling of the poem was beautiful .
