For Sonja (Part 54)

Your voice resembling those of the angels I see in my dreams
Cascading hair like the cliffs where I sit and listen to the storm sing
And a laugh that makes the flowers and trees dance
While the deaf sit around trying not to cry

Now left with the memories of all your treasures
I am blinded by the sun reflecting in your image
A hot summer\'s day and I sit here feeling so cold
Envying the sun for the way it can make you smile

Similar to your touch a sweet breeze trembles my skin
Looking out the window colours remind me of your eyes
And I begin to cry when reality strikes and I see how
Tears from my eyes cannot touch you like the rain

The whole world less mundane through appreciation
Memories invoking a familiar effect to your grace
Grateful for meeting someone so flawlessly humane
I spend time hating the wind that strokes your fragile face

Perfectly content dwelling in my beautiful misery
I imagine your voice interrupting and healing the pain
The world a better place I stand up and take a deep breath
And with a tearful smile remind myself of your passion for life.

  • WOW! you write so beautiful poems. I guess it your title's keeping the people away. ITs so confusing. We forget which we read which we didn't.
Why don't you keep a different titles? If you want the numberings.. you can always keep it inside the poem..

Really, your poems are good. I will recommend others to read these.
