Light

by Syrus   Jan 12, 2010

How sweet it is when tragedy strikes,
When worlds fall and lives rearrange,
Dreams follow a collision course to calamity,
Fighting to hold onto hands not there
Looking to skies darkened with sin

The stars above begin dimming
One by one they start to fade,
Even the moon, bright as she is,
In all her paleness and beauty,
Forfeits her light, abandoning hope

Lost souls caught in atrophy's web
I'll walk through this deception,
In this nocturnal solitariness,
Making stars of my own to shine,
Here in darkness is where I'll unbind

Clarity lights a dreary path to follow
I am the sane among this catastrophe
Slowly lighting a world gone awry
Bringing warmth to cold hands
I am the light brought from chaos

I am tragedy's creation
