Wanting to wake up with purpose
To feel alive, to feel meaning
The need to have something there
More than just the every day gray,
Past content smiles and ersatz lifestyles.
But that moment, I'm afraid to say
Is past due and has been for so long
Yet you fought for it till you died
Never once did you even think twice
And never did you learn to stop,
Behind hate filled inhumanity,
Futures following predetermination,
And closed windows with locked doors,
You sat, in silent monologue, eyes closed
Constructing worlds beyond fathomable
