A blessing

by Ana   Jan 17, 2010

One day, I was walking home alone.
As I crossed the street, I looked down at my phone.
Not paying attention where I was walking, I fell to the floor.
I woke up to a man getting out of his car and opening the door.

I can almost gaze up at the moon.
The harder I try, I can feel all my wounds.
I wish i had payed attention to what I know was right.
Now all i can do is hold my memories and I hold them real tight.

I wish i could have been there, to give my last goodbye's
If i was, I'd ask you not to cry and dry your eye's.
But wishes don't come true and life never last.
Only memories to share as we remember our past

Then I woke up, I had a horrible dream.
I thought I died, I wanted to scream.
But, I couldn't remember owning a white dress.
It was then that i realized, i had been blessed.
