I'll Never Know

He treated me with more respect than I deserved,
He loved me more than I knew,
To this day he loves me still,
I wished I could have loved him too.

He made me feel so special,
Joy swelled in my heart,
He didn't want to live without me,
But slowly our friendship fell apart.

He couldn't stand to see me with another guy.
His pain was too hard to see.
So I pushed him away,
Our friendship would no longer be.

I don't know why to this day,
That I didn't tell him I love you,
He deserved to know,
After all I put him through.
