Not Delusion

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 21, 2010

The true light refracts through the prism
Rainbow colors contain mysticism
After a flood a great illusion
Cleansing brought to a conclusion
Covenants end the cataclysm

The fatal flaw of your deism
Is written in the catechism
Dogmatic words bring confusion
Not delusion

Religion is man's idealism
That's brought to light by mysticism
Truth should be reflected by inclusion
Of the realism of Theism
Not delusion

Kinda lost me at the deism mark, but nice meter, and meaning.

Great poem. It's a little different than the others I've read, but still interesting.

People always say free form is the best form of poetry and I'd have to disagree. Although at times it may be, I say poets who can get the same message across while rhyming with flow are the best. Excellent work 5/5
