The Angels that Sing

by Hopeless Romantic   Jan 21, 2010

All i hear is like a charm
bright light gave to disarm
My staring sight gave way
To a piercing golden shower
of beings on a stage

Clouds pulled them into sight
It wasn't in the night
But in the morning's light
I had to fight not to drop my jaw
Because I was so in awe

They lined in unison
in the background a rainbow sprung
Like a harp, their meldoic voices flowed
Who wouldn't fall in love that knows
Mellow, still their voices rose

Beyond a coloratura soprano
Beautiful beyond words
In their wings tinged grey
And white and golden robes
Lacing the pretty notes

Darkness befallen me
It was all a dream
But like a butterfly
Faintly the notes i'm hearing
From the Angels that sing
