A dark seedling hatches underground.
Slowly, anticipating it's new life,
Glistening as raindrops fall upon,
It's petals too small to break free,
The dirt - a grave, buried alive,
Yet the struggle continues to play,
Once breaking the surface to new light,
Basking softly, silently in the sun,
The gray sky brings joy as it feeds,
Yet the other seedlings are not free,
They continue to struggle underground,
Praying to be like their beautiful mother,
Yellow petals with a green stem,
The deepest brown center ever seen,
Fully grown, alive through tender care,
The most beautiful flower ever known...
