Homeward Bound

by Beautiful Chaos   Jan 22, 2010

Steps are hindered for a fleeting moment
My gaze falling on the brilliant red leaves
Cascading from trees, blanketing the ground
They caused me to long for your sweet lips

Train of thought derailed
The deep indigo sky has drawn me
A lone twinkle in the distance
It sings of your loving eyes

Your arms are never found soon enough
This long road home dotted with reminders
All of my desires calling for you
Finding you in everything my eyes come to touch

Primitive longings encasing my mind
Searching to quench a growing hunger
That, seemingly, only grows
Until I touch my soul once again
