Life's A Road

by Some Random Human   Jan 24, 2010

I was speeding along, without a care in the world,
because by my side was my favorite girl,
but that ride couldn't last, I got caught at the light,
and when it turned red, she was out of sight,
now that light's green, but I sit still,
still pretending that it's not real,
but she's gone, yes I admit,
I hate this life, I want to quit,

Life's a road filled with regrets,
with no take backs and no forgets,
no detours and no stop signs,
no U turns and no rewinds,

So I screwed up, the blame's on me,
but I don't know why, she can't see,
that I'm trying to change, that I'm doing my best,
but if I go too fast, I'll be under arrest,
the blue lights flash, the siren screams,
and I can say goodbye to all of my dreams,
'cause she won't wait, she'll go far away,
and I'll be locked up for the rest of my days,

Life's a road filled with regrets,
with no take backs and no forgets,
no detours and no stop signs,
no U turns and no rewinds,

Life's a road filled with regrets,
with no take backs and no forgets,
no detours and no stop signs,
no U turns and no rewinds...
