Remember Who You Have Left Behind

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 24, 2010

Dreamweaver, I beg you to send me perpetual petals of our love
sweet blushing blossoms that resemble your brave smile
all I need is reassurance during these doubtful days
where smoky mountains look down angrily and growl
how do I know its vicious glare has spared you?

Visit me while I soundly sleep to chase away dementors
make safe thoughts so we can peacefully rest in wonder
foreboding night shadows shall not follow each footstep
nor wary emerald hills keep our destined bodies apart
from joining in an ecstatic collision of utter bliss.

Faravea, Liliana, and Rosemary wait with determination
for you to cross over darkening clouds aheaded home
I will forever call out your name far past the horizon.
