The Uninvited

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 24, 2010

A ghastly face remains still
unable to fully communicate
silver linings tie around pallid skin
as they swallow her dryed pulse
entering the gate of immortality.

Sparkling ruby red blood stains
ceramic fingers break through
her past freezes into yesterday's
not even worth saving its memories.

She contemplates the inevitable.
