The Light One Can Offer

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 24, 2010

I am magically hypnotized
by rich symbolic oils
running across canvas
with little spoken sighs
of secret adventure.

I watch profoundly
as dull objects and colors
mingle throughout
telling heroic tales
that widen youthful eyes.

I gaze wondrously
at the gentle sun
embracing stone hearts
and turning them into
warm summer sand.

I never imagined
paintings could talk
and bring life meaning
dreams have borne wings
lifting my entire spirit.

    MaryAnne,

Although you were inspired by one particular painting, I think you describe a vey universal feeling of awe that can overcome a person, observing first quality art ( of any kind).

Good job on portraying your feelings, sweetheart. Well written:)

    God bless and a hug,

    5/5 Ingrid
