Judge me, I dare you. (Tale of a girl and her girlfriend)

by jocelyn   Jan 25, 2010

I walked those halls,
Confused of my feelings.
Where a flutter would start
at the sight of a boy,
It would erupt
with a girl.
I asked for help,
And was met with stares.
My naivety
Made me a target.
Suddenly, there was coldness.
My friends met me with frosty stares,
I was exiled from girl's locker room.
Suddenly, I had lost everything
To prejudiced minds.

Well now I'm back.
My stance is confident,
As I walk the halls
With a girlfriend on one side.
I'm done with this bias.
I am what I chose to be.
Your god and parents
may condemn me to hell.
I don't care.
Maybe one day
You'll see that true love
Comes in many forms.

My uncle is gay.
My sister is lesbian.
I am bisexual.

It's love, even when it's a boyxboy or a girlxgirl.
