Smoke's Teeth

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 26, 2010

Emotionless shadows hang moonlight
upon blind-bashing charcoal embers
every sweet hello erased forever.

I feel nothing alive, not even my single voice
caught fearlessly betwixt invisible bars
paralyzed with the dread of extinction.

At least now I can finally rest in peace.
