Out of all the blessings you've ever given me

You gave me the gift of the epitome

Though the gift of life can never be replaced

I know he's smiling into Your beautiful face

His life was short-lived, but I can't help but smile

You trusted me as a guardian, even for a little while

I'll never forget that pure soul that you gave me for that hour

And from now till death, I'll always be a witness to Your power
