Poem from Gail

by Lost and Delirious   Jan 27, 2010

I've tasted your breath
hot and forbidding against my neck.
You promised me immortality,
and swore to keep me forever young.

We were like vampires in love.
We slept by day,
lived by the pale moonlight.
It was a deadly coffin romance.

Their words were steaks to you heart,
and their glances like silver bullets.
I'd kill them all for you,
I'd show them to fear the night.

The blood from wrists is precious.
I'll clamp my hands over to hold it in.
My palms as red as the roses bloom,
the taste five times as sweet.

I'll bear my fangs for you
until they stake me too.
I'll swear to the heavens with my last breath.
I'll fight 'til I turn to dust.
