It has been so long since I heard your voice,
This is far from what would be my choice,

Seeing you happy is all I could want for you,
That is why I'm keeping my distance, because you asked me to,
It kills me a little more every day,
Having you so very far away;

I dream about you all the time,
Being with you is more than sublime,
You make me so happy; I wish I could return the favour,
Every moment spent with you is another moment I savour,
You let me know I wasn't alone,
And showed me I wasn't on my own,
You're the first person I loved as family,
For once I didn't feel so lonely;

Even if I have to wait ten years,
