Summer Mist

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 27, 2010

An elegant pastel mirage
lays out upon the highly trodden road
teasing child-like naive eyes
to believe in underwater ballrooms,
a merman's ballad of his bubbly love.

Talkative airy lanterns smile
as the noble woman waltzes past
with fair nose proud and high
tilting hat a true extravaganza
that bows quickly to Fredrickson's horse.

If only warm pleasant rain could forever spray
and lift our realistic minds unto rainbow thoughts.

    MaryAnne,

You made me see it all, sweetheart. I am most certainly going to google on this artist:)

I liked this part best, especially the "bubbly love", so much joy speaks from your words:)

    I loved it MaryAnne.

    God bless and a hug,
